National Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Spread the Word!
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, breast cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in women. In fact, 1 in 8 women born today in the U.S. will get breast cancer at some point during their lifetime. Help spread the word about the importance of early detection of breast cancer during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October – and all throughout the year!
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is the collaboration of many different national public service organizations, government agencies, professional medical associations and community organizations. It’s an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease, to help spread the word about the importance of mammograms, and to encourage communities, organizations, families, and individuals to show their support.
You can get involved, and we can help!
