Direct mail isn’t dead even though many of us have been dedicating our time and efforts to new media and marketing opportunities. Let’s remember to stand by this time-proven marketing opportunity and consider “mixing it” with our social media efforts to increase response and gain ROI!
According to BusinessBalls.com, we should “judge a direct mail campaign first on percentage and quality of response, and then separately to assess the overall results of the campaign including conversion statistics and sales values… A direct mail campaign which produces more than a 2% response is normally considered very successful. Lower than 1% response is more usual. You then need to take into account the conversion rate (the conversion of responses into sales), assuming the campaign is designed to produce responses or enquiries and not sales directly.”
At IOP, we can help you develop a direct mail campaign to complement and boost all of your marketing efforts. Do you have any questions about how you can use direct mail and “mix it up” with your other marketing efforts for maximum ROI? Ask us here on our blog, tweet us on Twitter @IOPcomm, or contact IOP now.
Until next time, take care!
