Believe in the Future of Print: 'Paper is Truly Sustainable...'
|
With all the technology out there today, it might seem like the printed page’s days are numbered. But that’s simply not true. Using a balance of media including print media promises a more sustainable future for all of us.
According to Down To Earth, a website developed by International Paper, “The future sustainability of our society is dependent upon sustainable supply chains over the lifecycle of the medium with which we choose to communicate. The ultimate question is not electronics or paper, but what combination of these has the least total impact on our environment.”
Don’t rule out print media: “Paper is truly sustainable, with waste fully recoverable, ready for recycling into new paper. When people use more paper, landowners plant more trees. Electronic devices don’t grow on trees. The electronic industry continues to grow rapidly. Based on current non-renewable raw materials and escalating energy demands, this growth is unsustainable,” the Down To Earth site says.
Let IOP help you develop a “truly sustainable” marketing program for your organization one that includes the printed page (brochures, direct mail, print newsletters…) in a balanced mix of media. Call me directly at 732-758-6280. Tweet me @IOPcomm or send an email to info@iopcomm.com.
Thanks for reading and keep believing in the future of print!
Sincerely,
Mike DeNofa
