Are you 'mixing it up'?

We seem to be so fascinated with the real-time abilities of social media and the potential social media offers as a marketing tool/strategy. Yes, I think we should all be taking advantage of the relationship-building power of social media. But, we should “mix it” in with other more traditional media and marketing strategies. Time has proven that it’s always a good idea to blend different media and ideas together for maximum reach and impact.
Look at the big picture
When it comes to your marketing efforts, it’s always a good idea to step back from time to time and take a look at the big picture. Ask yourself, “Am I taking advantage of the business-building potential offered by both traditional and social media?” Here are a few possibilities for both B2B and B2C marketing efforts:
- Direct mail campaign
- Imprinted promotional items
- Print ads
- Press releases
- Publicity efforts
- Email campaign
- Social media presence and interaction (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube etc.)
